CHILDREN performing a maypole dance and a turnout of more than 400 people made for a “lovely atmosphere” at a fair.
Longparish Primary School hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year raising more than £4,500 on Saturday.
Attractions ranged from welly wanging and sumo suits to a bouncy castle and beer and Pimms tent.
The money from the fair will go towards funding new IT equipment, repainting the playground as well as supporting Longparish Little School.
Chair of Friends of Longparish School (FoLS) Laura Harding said: “There was a lovely atmosphere at the May Fayre with lots of activities and stalls for the children. The Year 5/6 children did a great job with their maypole dance and children from across the school took part in the singing.
“The fair is our biggest fundraiser of the year and the money raised will help to improve the facilities available to the children of Longparish School.
“FoLS would like to thank the parents, the teaching staff, community volunteers, those who donated prizes and finally those who attended, all who helped make the day a success.”
