A RANGE of staff from across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust attended a special conference to hear how their colleagues have advanced practice in their areas.

The Workforce Transformation and Advancing Practice conference was held on Friday, 11 May, at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

It featured presentations from members of staff across Hampshire Hospitals, who wanted to showcase the ways they had advanced practice in their area.

The day also featured special talks from guest speakers Jane Cummings, chief nurse of NHS England; Suzanne Rastrick, chief allied health professional officer of NHS England; and Beverly Harding from Health Education England.

Speaking on the day, Suzanne said: “I am amazed to see such a wide range of staff here today, including paramedics, radiographers, operating department practitioners, physiotherapists and dieticians.

“Today is about sharing the ways you have transformed and progressed practice in your areas.”

Jane added: “I would encourage you to have a stronger voice and talk to your clinical leaders about your ideas.”

Jane also praised Donna Green, chief nurse at Hampshire Hospitals, for her work at the trust over a number of years.
