POLICE are on the hunt for a man wanted for attempted murder.
Mark Middleton, 48, from Andover, went missing from a secure unit.
He was last seen at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Portsmouth, yesterday (Thursday, 21 June).
Hampshire Constabulary have been carrying out extensive enquires as to his whereabouts, with Middleton having last been seen by a member of hospital staff at 8am yesterday.
The 48-year-old is wanted in connection with an attempted murder, which happened on April 11 in Andover.
He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, slim to medium build, with shaved, short dark hair. He has a pale complexion with a scar on this right cheek.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a light green jumper, dark grey tracksuit bottoms and navy blue trainers.
Police are warning residents that if they see Middleton, they are not to approach him but call 999.
If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Middleton, they are asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting 44180231677.
