CARE home residents showed their support at a special event for Armed Forces Day.

Rothsay Grange celebrated Armed Forces Day on Friday, June 29, giving residents the chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

A birds of prey specialist came along and guests included Squadron Leader James Neal, president of Andover Royal British British Legion.

Residents and invited guests enjoyed an afternoon cream tea, with bunting adorning the tables.

Edina Walsh, a resident at the Weyhill Road home, said: “It is very important that we keep the memories of those who fought alive and that we also think about those involved in conflicts around the world today.”

Berni Marti, customer relationship manager at Rothsay Grange, said: “We have a number of residents with personal ties to the military, and we put on a special day for them and all our residents, as well as using the day to think about lives that have been lost, and people still putting their lives on the line.”
