A RELAUNCHED weekly market was met with great anticipation by parishioners.
The new Stockbridge Community Market was launched on Thursday, June 28th, taking the place of a previous Thursday morning market popular in the town.
Stall holders will now bring their goods to sell every Thursday and receive a percentage of the takings in return.
Additional monies are put into a pot to cover costs with remaining funds donated to charity.
A wide range of goods will be on offer including cakes, savouries, seasonal vegetables, eggs, craft items, plants, books and bric-a-brac.
Hot drinks and sweet treats are also available at the market which runs fro, 9:30am to 11:30am.
After the successful launch, a cheque for £115.00 was presented to The Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital.
Marilyn Korkis who runs the centre attended to accept the cheque.
The hospital is dependent upon donations and is renowned for looking after hedgehogs, having housed over two hundred last winter.
