AN OLD town tradition on the brink of cancellation pulled out all the stops on Sunday to celebrate the best of the community in full festival fashion.

Organisers of Andover Carnival put up a fight when it faced financial difficulties at the beginning of the year, but the community and businesses rallied around to make sure the show could go on.

Families, young and old turned out for the occasion with the funday hailed a success by the carnival committee.
