STAFF at a primary school have become one-hit wonders as they starred in a music video wishing pupils a good summer as the school year ended.

Overton Church of England Primary School revived S Club 7’s Don’t Stop Movin’ hit with teachers and staff making their own version, which saw everyone dancing and singing around the school.

The video posted on Vimeo has since been watched nearly 6,000 times and received more than 1,500 comments, likes and shares on social media according to the Overton School Association (OSA).

The idea originally came from Year 1 teacher James Lingham, who made sure everyone had their part to play.

Mr Lingham, who stars at the beginning of the video donning a pair of sunglasses, said: "It was a bit of fun to give the children a laugh and be proud of the people who work so hard to make school enjoyable for them."

The OSA also said they loved the video and that the school ended the year in style.

Headteacher Fiona Wyeth said: “We wanted to celebrate the end of year with our children and families.

“We showed it to the children in an assembly and they loved it, spotting all their teachers and support staff.

“It sums up what a great team we have at Overton! Have a great summer everyone and we look forward to seeing you in September!”
