STAFF and customers from a plumbing supply store have taken on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for a hospice which cared for their loved ones.
A team from Woodstock Plumbing and Heating Supplies, based at Walworth Industrial Estate, climbed Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scafell Pike, the tallest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England respectively, in a 24-hour challenge which raised more than £7,400 for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
Hospice head of community fundraising Michele Gard said: “The guys had an initial target of £295 and have raised more than twenty-five times that.
“It’s a fantastic achievement and I’d like to thank the team, their family, friends and customers who so generously supported them along the way and donated.”
Participant Ben Maloney added: “Staff and customers took part in the challenge in memory of close friends and loved ones cared for by a fantastic local hospice.”
