WELLINGTON Academy students have continued to go from strength to strength.

The Tidworth school’s sixth form achieved a 98 per cent pass rate for A-Levels and 83 per cent of its BTEC students achieved grades of Distinction* to Distinction.

And of those students who applied for university, 98 per cent are celebrating achieving a place at their chosen instruction, with some gaining places at prestigious Russell Group universities.

Executive headteacher Abrilli Phillip said: “These results are a considerable increase on previous record-breaking years.

“Huge congratulations to students who have done extremely well, especially when compared to target grades.”

Six students were successful in completing their Momentum, now known as The Talent Tap, work experience placements at top international organisations and will head off to university with an “even clearer focus on where they want their degree to take them”.

Seven students are also heading to China to complete a six-month internship with partner schools.

Ms Phillip added: “Congratulations to all our students and we wish them well with all their future career paths.”
