FAMILIES did not let the grey crowds dampen their spirits when the town centre welcomed a wealth of excitement.

The second instatement of the Four Fun Fridays initiative last week saw young and old join in the fun and explore entertainment from around the world as a Chinese lion danced for the crowd and Thingumajig Theatre hosted a puppet play.

There was also storytelling from Kit and Caboodle to keep young ones entertained.

Excited youngsters were queuing up to get their faces and arms painted in a spectacle of colour and glitter.

Children were also made busy by the variety of art tents on offer with the Art Room providing children a chance to colour in some kindness rocks.

There was also the chance to make a paper dove to mark the UN Day of Peace, courtesy of Andover Trees United.

And there was fun for the grown ups as tours of the Andover Heritage Trail were taking place.
