THE town centre was transformed into a Georgian wonder on Sunday as thousands came out to enjoy the second Shilling Fair.
Regency dancers, horse and carriage rides and donkey trips were among the attractions on offer to transport Andover back to the 1830s to celebrate its heritage.
The event also welcomed The Time Ring which saw performances from the likes of the Duke Of Wellington’s Dancers, The Loft Singers and the Romsey Ukulele Group.
Visitors were given the chance to take part in one of the free heritage trails which brought the town’s history to life with visitors guided by Mr Heath of Heath’s Bank.
The event was managed by the Andover Shilling Fair voluntary committee and FUSE Projects Event Management, with financial support from Test Valley Borough Council and Andover Town Council.
