'Good evening for late night shopping'

LATE night shopping in Stockbridge on 11 December will be a good evening for everybody' according to the town manager who is organising the attractions.

Liz Bourne told parish councillors that as well as the carol singing and hot chestnuts there will be face painting for children, street actors, mulled wine, mince pies and competitions.

The evening, starting at 6pm, will finish at around 8.45pm with fireworks lighting up the skies.

"It should be a good evening for everybody with lots of things going on," said Liz. "The idea is to encourage people to walk the full length of the High Street."
