PUPILS from Castle Primary School in Ludgershall spent several weeks raising money to help children in Tanzania.
The pupils took part in many fundraising activities to buy the children at the Ebenezer Day Care centre enough porridge to last six months.
They held a sponsored skipping event raising about £350.
Teacher Barbara Cuenca spent some weeks with the Tanzanian children.
Miss Cuenca returned to Castle Primary with thank you gifts from the Tanzanian children, aged between two and seven, including items of clothing.
She will be travelling back to Tanzania in August with more money raised from the school production in July and a recent sing-a-thon.
"The children at Castle Primary have responded really well in their efforts to raise money for these children in Tanzania," she said.
"They're fascinated when I tell them about my experiences and it's really helped boost our attempts to create strong links between us."
