NEARLY two years after a campaign was launched to save Andover's Lower Guildhall from commercial use, the issue continues to rumble on.
Just over three weeks ago the Italian restaurant chain Prezzo finally submitted a planning application to convert the lower part of the historic Guildhall after months of speculation.
But it could not be formally registered because there was extra information which Test Valley Borough Council needed to glean from the restaurant chain.
This week a spokeswoman for the borough council said that Prezzo had not so far responded with the required information, so a date for a planning meeting could not be set.
In the meantime the Lower Guildhall remains dark and unused while former users, like PHAB, have moved to their new home, the Rendezvous in Union Street.
