ANDOVER town centre was at the heart of community building activities and environmental improvements during a week-long Comm-unity Respect Environment Week (Crew) event.
There was plenty of action throughout the week aimed at improving the town centre.
They included rubbish clearance, graffiti removal, pruning and tidying overgrown areas, repairs and improvements.
It involved a thorough sprucing-up for some public places to help make the area a cleaner and safer place in which to live and work or to visit.
There were also opportunities throughout the week for local residents and visitors to meet and discuss local issues with a range of agencies at information centres which had been set up around the town.
Vanessa Cheung, the council's senior environmental services officer, said: "Anti-social behaviour, crime and safety were also tackled and many organisations and agencies joined in to give the Crew event their full support including Hampshire police, Test Valley Borough Council, Testway Housing, Hampshire Fire and Rescue and DVLA."
