TESTWAY Transform's Money Box fund has given £700 to buy a new oven and storage shelves for the Bridge Project in Andover.

Jane McNally, project manager, said: "The new oven and shelving has made a huge difference to the project.

"Those needing help can come in, take a shower, wash and dry their clothes and get a hot meal. This gives us the chance to chat and listen to them in a non-judgemental environment."

The Bridge Project provides hot food and hot drinks to vulnerable and homeless people and gives out food parcels donated by Andover Food Bank.

The project was desperate for storage shelves for these parcels. Testway Transform helped with this too.

The money box fund was set up to help community groups with local projects, for people of all ages. So far the projects seem to have covered everything from brass bands to wheelchairs.

The Money Box fund has given £46,000 to over 40 groups in the community.

Testway Transform is the fundraising charity of Testway Housing.

Local groups interested in applying for a grant should email paula.deverill@testway.co.uk or call 01264 405552.
