THREE people have come forward following police appeals to trace a woman reported naked and tied up near Micheldever railway station on Sunday.

A woman and her two male companions have come forward and identified themselves.

The three presented themselves at Reading police station on Monday evening and explained to officers that it was a prank. All inquiries have now ceased.

Det Sgt Chris Buse said: “We would like to thank the media for their support in this matter. We have now been able to establish that all three people involved are safe and well.”

A couple driving past Micheldever station on Sunday said they saw a man in camouflage clothing standing next to the woman and a second man was also seen nearby at 3pm.
