POLICE shut a major road near Winchester after a three-vehicle collision this afternoon.

Two vans and one car collided on the A34 northbound five miles from its junction with the M3 at 2.56pm this afternoon.

Fire fighters are currently cutting the roof off one of the vans to remove the occupants. The road has been completely closed at this location due to debris on the road.

It is not known if any of the people involved are injured.
