Child health clinics at four Andover surgeries have joined to form one clinic based at The Lights.
Clinics at Charlton Hill, Andover Health Centre, Adelaide and St Mary’s surgery were all over-stretched and had problems with space and parking.
Shepherd’s Spring surgery child health clinic will continue to run as normal on Wednesday afternoons until it relocates to the Spring Meadow children’s centre early next year.
The new central child health clinic is open to all well babies and children under five.
There will be the opportunity to discuss your baby and child’s health needs with Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses and Community Nursery Nurses. The clinic will run weekly on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3.30pm.
Chris O-Dea, locality community manager for the Andover area, said: “This is a great way for us to offer an even better health visiting service.
“This modern, innovative approach will allow families the opportunity to meet with others in a relaxed atmosphere whilst gaining advice and support from our team.
“We are very excited at the changes and look forward to welcoming parents, carers and families to this new venue.”
