A NEW panel called My Test Valley is being set up to replace the Citizens’ Panel in Test Valley.
The aim is to improve communication between borough councillors and the people, Andover Councillors’ Forum heard this week.
Cllr Jan Lovell said: “This is a replacement of, or moving on, from the Citizens’ Panel in the hope that it will deliver greater understanding from the public as to what’s happening in Test Valley, and inform us in a better way.
“It’s an enhancement of the Citizens’ Panel.”
Jason Avery, group manager for Test Valley and Eastleigh group of fire stations, is a member of the Test Valley Partnership setting up My Test Valley.
He said the aim was to have 1,500 people on the database who would then be contacted by various means of communication.
The partnership is recruiting for the panel. Chairman Janet Blann this week: “We really want to hear what people have to tell us.’’ If you would like to join, register online at mytestvalley.com If you cannot register online, you can call 01264 368000.
