MORE changes are to be made at Office Depot which will reduce the number of customer service staff.

The company currently has around 500 staff in this role spread across the country but with customers making more use of the internet and less of fax the need in some areas has reduced.

“Around 35 posts in data entry will go and we are seeking voluntary redundancy so those who want to go can do so,” said a company spokeswoman.

Whether and where there would be any compulsory redundancies depends on the number of people who take up the voluntary package.

It is not known if there will be any posts lost in Andover.
