A CHIEF executive who was appointed to head the new Wiltshire Council only 18 months ago is facing redundancy from his £186,000 a year post. A new round of cost cutting, aimed at saving £500,000, will be discussed by the council’s Cabinet later this month and, if agreed, the post of chief executive and that of a corporate director will be deleted.
Council leader Jane Scott said: “The process that has started today is a proposal for a revised senior management structure.
“Feedback and views received as part of the consultation process will assist the Cabinet in making a decision on the future senior management structure for Wiltshire Council.”
