DRUG users in Tidworth and Ludgershall have been put on notice by police after the neighbourhood task group met and decided the issue will be a priority across the community area over the next three months.
PCSO Rosie Smith told Tidworth Town Council to be on the lookout for drug users as the police are keen to carry out warrants to search possible offenders’ homes.
She said: “Please keep a look out for any unusual activity and if you see or hear anything that seems out of character for your area let us know on 101.”
Town councillors were also concerned about security on the Persimmon building site at the northern end of town where there have been some burglaries.
Councillor Steven Slater said the attacks were becoming an ‘absolute nightmare’ for those running the canteen on the site.
PCSO Smith said: “There are regular targeted patrols of the area but it is an ongoing investigation so I can’t go into too much detail.”
Councillor Humphrey Jones said it was up to Persimmon to ensure security was at the appropriate level as the area is a private building site.
