IN May 29 offences were reported to police in the Overton area.
Of these 29 offences five were in relation to criminal offences and during the same period in 2013 there were also five offences reported.
These five offences reported in May consisted of three assaults, one theft from a motor vehicle and one burglary from an out-building.
A member of the safer neighbourhoods team for Overton, Freefolk and Laverstoke said: “We will continue to run beat surgeries as advertised in St Mary’s Hall in the centre of the village.
“Please remember however that we are still on duty and may have to respond to incidents as they happen.
“We are constantly on call while on duty and therefore would not always be able to give prior notice for nonattendance of a beat surgery.”
