ANDOVER Police have received a number of complaints regarding “flagrant breaches” of recently imposed bus-only signs on Floral Way.
PCSO Alex Carter of Andover Safer Neighbourhood Team and a colleague have identified 35 vehicles driving through the bus lane since carrying out observations at school opening and closing times following complaints from residents.
Uniformed observations have been taking place outside John Hansen, St John the Baptist and Balksbury Junior and Infants schools to gain evidence but no vehicles have yet been stopped.
Sergeant Steve Parker, said: “We have had contact from residents about some flagrant breaches of the bus-only signs.
“The owners of these vehicles will be identified and sent a letter making them aware of the bus lane infringement. We will do a few more of these observations and letter sending before moving into an enforcement stage.”
If you have any more information regarding the breaches, contact Andover Police on 101.
