A REPEAT knife wielder has been given an eight month prison sentence after he was caught carrying a blade in Andover.

Fraser Charlie Williams, of no fixed abode, was caught with the knife in London Road on Thursday 2 March.

The 23-year-old, who was given a six month suspended prison sentence in 2015 for the same offence, was also hauled before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week, accused of six separate charges of theft.

Williams pleaded guilty to all offences at a hearing last Friday, as well as admitting breaching a supervision order.

He was jailed for a total of 34 weeks, 26 of which were due to his repeat knife offence.

Williams was also given a consecutive eight week sentence for his thefts, which included stealing nearly £350 worth of alcohol from Marks and Spencer.

His other thefts include £22 worth of meat from Co-Op and £180 worth of clothing from NEXT.
