THIEVES failed in an attempt to steal lead from a church roof, police have reported.
The offenders gained access to the roof of St. Andrew's Church, Nether Wallop, between Sunday 5 March and Monday 6 March.
Police say the group made an unsuccessful attempt to steal lead from the roof.
Officers believe the group may have been disturbed during their attempt.
