THE 71-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering an Andover pensioner has been released without charge.
Malcolm Cox, 84, was found at his Bell Road property with a laceration to the back of his head on Tuesday, 15 November.
He was taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke where he died the following morning.
A 71-year-old man and a then 38-year-old woman were arrested on suspcion of murder.
Police have confirmed that the pensioner will face no further action while the 39-year-old woman, from Andover, remains on bail until 6 June.
