Prolific thief given additional jail time for burgling Andover car wash
A PROLIFIC thief has been given additional jail time after the burglary of an Andover car wash.
Steven Anthony Allen, who has been serving a prison sentence at HMP Winchester, admitted to entering a building at the IMO Car Wash on Newbury Road in April and stealing a bumbag containing £60, and a smart phone.
Magistrates imposed a 28-day prison sentence in addition to the sentence being served because the offence forms part of a long history of similar offending.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
