A BEALES Close thief has been ordered to pay more than £600 in compensation.
Alison Jane Pilbeam admitted to stealing an electric toothbrush worth £299 from Boots in March when she appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.
The 43-year-old also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £155 from Waitrose, six bottles of wine from Tesco and spirits valued at £191 from Marks & Spencer.
Pilbeam was made the subject of a community order requiring her to take part in a rehabilitation activity and to pay £631.75 compensation.
No orders for costs were made.
