FIVE people have been charged after a ten-month police probe into an incident which left a man with serious facial injuries.

As previously reported by the Advertiser, a 37-year-old man was found with facial injuries in the alleyway adjacent to the High Street pub The Globe at around 9.30pm on Monday, 9 January this year.

The Globe was searched during police investigations into the incident and the injured man was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Five people have now been charged in connection with the incident and are set to appear in Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, 12 October.

Stephanie Bridgman, 34, of Levens Way, Chesterfield, has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Stewart Bridgman, 32, of Levens Way, Chesterfield, has been charged with conspiracy to commit GBH.

26-year-old Sam Day, of no fixed abode, faces charges of arson and theft of a motor vehicle.

Kyle Heald, 23, of Wood Park, Ludgershall, will face charges of arson, conspiracy to commit GBH, and theft of a motor vehicle.

And 28-year-old Tom Timmins, of Turnpike Crescent, Andover, has been charged with conspiracy to commit GBH.
