AN ANDOVER man who pleaded guilty to burglary has been jailed for four years and been banned from entering a village.
Dean Ross Hutchinson, of Bere Hill Crescent, pleaded guilty to burglary when he appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, 11 October.
The 28-year-old entered a dwelling in Quarley on Friday, 8 September with the intent to steal and had a screwdriver on him.
He pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary but entered a plea of guilty to burglary, which was accepted by the prosecution.
Hutchinson was sentenced to four years imprisonment and made the subject of a restraining order not to go to Quarley village.
