A PREVALENT thief has been jailed for more than two months.

Elliott James Henderson has been sentenced to 10 weeks in prison following a number of thefts across Andover and Ludgershall while serving a suspended sentence.

The 34-year-old, of Dene Court, admitted to stealing alcohol and meat from Co-op in Ludgershall on two occasions in July worth £260 in total.

He further pleaded guilty to stealing toothbrush heads and razor blades worth £75 from Boots in Andover in September.

As part of the overall sentence, an eight-week custodial term was imposed as Henderson had failed to comply with the drug rehabilitation requirements of the suspended sentence passed in April.

He was also ordered to pay £90 compensation.
