A TIDWORTH man has been arrested for an array of driving offences following a collision.
At about 9pm yesterday (Monday) police were called to a crash in Wessex Road, Salisbury, as there were reports that the driver had fled the scene after colliding with a parked car.
A description of the driver was passed to officers who attended the scene.
Fifteen minutes later, a man aged in his 30s, returned to the incident and was searched by officers. He was found in possession of a quantity of class A drugs.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, driving a vehicle without a licence and insurance, theft and possession of a class A drug.
He was taken to custody and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should call police on 101.
