TWO scammers have used fake £20 notes to buy televisions from a supermarket in Andover.
The men went into the Asda store in Anton Mill Road at about 5.30pm on Wednesday, April 30 before picking up the electrical items.
According to police, the fraudsters paid for the television sets separately before leaving.
However, officers were not called until the following day after it was discovered that counterfeit notes had been used to buy the televisions.
Police have now issued a warning to shop staff and owners in the town centre to make sure they tell neighbouring businesses of any counterfeit money transactions and have advised that employees should be trained.
Anyone with information about the incident or fake notes should call police on 101, quoting 44180160130.
