A MAN has suffered head injuries after he was chased from a pub in Andover and attacked.

The 29-year-old victim was pursued by two people from outside the area of the Foresters Arms in London Street into the High Street and was assaulted at about 3.40am on Sunday, May 20.

He was treated at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital for cuts to his head which were stapled and glued. The man is now recovering at home.

A second man, aged 23, who attempted to help the victim was also punched. He was not hurt.

Police now want to speak to two men about the assaults, and the victims have described the men as white, aged in their 20s, both clean shaven and with eastern-European accents.

One man was wearing a blue hooded top with a jacket over it, had short fair hair, and was between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall.

The second man was shorter than the first, was wearing a red hooded top with a jacket over it, and had short brown hair.
