OFFICERS have searched a house in Andover following the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.
Police in the East Anton Farm Road area arrested an 18-year-old man from London on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Following his arrest police searched a house in Harebell Road this afternoon (Thursday).
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said that the man is currently police custody.
Eyewitness said there were a number of police cars and a dog unit on the scene before officers entered the building.
One neighbour added: “It is very worrying to have it around here and the drug problem is getting worse."
The action was part of Hampshire Constabulary’s campaign on drugs, coined Fortress, to “shield communities from drug-related harm through enforcement and partnership working".
Yesterday (Wednesday) four men were arrested in two separate incidents for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
