A 20-year-old man is to go on trial for the murder of a Londoner in an Andover alleyway.
Zandrae Kiah Smith is accused of killing Tommy Ferris, 28, who was found stabbed on a path off Smannell Road on April 13.
Mr Ferris was taken to Southampton General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr Smith, of Octavia Court, Bradford, in West Yorkshire, appeared before Judge Jane Miller for a plea hearing at Winchester Crown Court today (Friday).
Wearing a grey jumper and tracksuit bottoms Mr Smith entered a plea of not guilty to which there was a outburst from the public gallery.
Mr Smith was supported by his girlfriend, mum and family members during the crown court appearance.
Judge Miller has set a trial to begin at the same court on October 1, which is expected to last two weeks.
Mr Smith was remanded back into custody following the hearing.
