A GROUP of friends were robbed in the early hours of yesterday morning by a knife-wielding robbers.

A group of three men and one woman aged between 18 and 20-years-old were walking through Icknield Way at 3.30am yesterday (Saturday) morning when they were approached by two men.

The men, who were armed with a knife, stole a wallet from one of the members of the group, an 18-year-old man.

They also stole a carrier bag of food and drink the group were carrying.

No one was injured.

One of the men is described as white, aged 20 to 25-years-old and around 5 ft 10 inches or 5 ft 11 inches tall. He was of average build and wore a grey hooded top with black writing on the front, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second man is described as black and of a similar age, height and build to the first man. He was wearing a black or dark blue coloured hooded top with white writing on the front, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

DC Tracy West from the Northern Investigation Team said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the Ickfield Way area of Andover around this time yesterday morning who saw these men or, knows who they are.

“Try to avoid walking home late at night or in the early hours of the morning, consider taking a taxi and stick to busy or well-lit areas where possible.”
