PUPILS from Amport Primary School were given a behind-the-scenes look at Tesco Extra on River Way to help them discover how food travels from Farm to Fork.

Farm to Fork is Tesco’s nationwide initiative dedicated to getting the next generation of children interested in where their food comes from.

Sheryl Scott-Clarke, Farm to Fork community champion, said: “We all know that we have eggs, but do they appear in Tesco?

“We are totally committed to the Farm to Fork and continue rolling out the initiative to four to 11-year-olds but we welcome visits by any ages if they wish.

“Each tour is adapted to each age.

“They taste, they have fun.

“If they don’t know anything about something we are looking at we talk about it.

“Each tour takes about two hours and “At the end they get a certificate and a goody bag.”

Sheryl Scott-Clarke added: “Any schools that are interested should contact me on andover@eathappyproject.com.”
