A JUNIOR school has had a visit from an interactive historical theatre and drama group.

Year 6 pupils from Anton Junior School took part in a play-in-a-day activity, led by Treehouse Theatre’s Ben Lindsey-Clark.

The day focused on ‘Children on the Home Front’, which was reflective of the student’s current topic, the Second World War.

Pupils were split into groups and then came back together as a whole year group to perform their individual segments as one whole piece.

Year 6 teacher, Bree House, said: “Ben is so enthusiastic and inspirational as he engages the children whilst teaching them about life during the Second World War.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed a play-in-a-day and it was lovely to see all their different roles and characters when we watched the completed play in the afternoon.”

Year 6 pupil Sophia Higgins said she loved the day, adding: “Ben is always so enthusiastic about what he does and that’s what makes us love it!”
