ANDOVER secondary school students had a dramatic tour of an internationally renowned theatre.
A trip to the Globe Theatre has given Harrow Way School pupils a fresh perspective on performing classic William Shakespeare plays.
Working alongside a professional, students learned different approaches to acting a scene from one of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Following the professional acting workshop, students were given an exclusive tour of the theatre before enjoying a production of Much Ado About Nothing.
On this occasion the romance was set in the Mexican civil war giving a Latin twist described as ‘awesome’ by students.
Rehearsals are now underway for a production of Shakespeare’s Women, a selection of scenes and speeches featuring Shakespeare’s iconic female characters - the pupil’s final performance exam.
The performances are to take place on Wednesday, 17 and Thursday, 18 January next year at Harrow Way Community School from 7-8pm.
Tickets cost £2 and are available on the door.
