PUPILS had a challenge to take on when they visited a heritage site.
Earlier this month, all of the Year 7 pupils at Winton Community Academy enjoyed a unique day at Stonehenge where, under the guidance of colleagues from Southampton University, they assisted in the moving and raising of a stone.
This was to give students an insight into the ancient world and the creation of Stonehenge.
The challenge involved other teams with the Winton pupils one of the few to succeed in the effort.
Other activities during the trip included a visit to the monument itself and a tour of the reconstructed Neolithic houses.
