ANDOVER and Winchester hospitals will be throwing open their doors to show the public how they plan to invest in modernisation.
Mr Martin Wakeley, chief executive of Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust said the Royal Hampshire County Hospital had an exciting future.
"We want a 21st century hospital that local people and those from afar recognise as one of the best in the country.
"To do this there are proposals for significant changes to the estate," he said.
"This means selling some of the older, historic buildings and using money from the sale to invest in the state of the art Treatment Centre already on the hospital site," he said.
During the next few months the trust would be holding a series of open days at Winchester and Andover.
