We all need to play our part in making our town a place to be proud of

ON Sunday, walking over the little bridge near the HSA building I heard splashing in the river.

I thought, well, it is a hot day and some children have gone for a paddle. Paddling they were not!

Shame on the two rather large lads, aged 13 or 14 who decided it was a good idea to get in and chase the ducks.

Shame on the people who walked passed and said nothing.

Shame on the older lads, who just sat and laughed.

They only stopped when I caught their eye and got my mobile phone out to ring the authorities, then they scooted.

If there were any tourists in the area, I dread to think what their opinion of Andover was.

We should make Andover a proud place to live in, so if you see big children doing naughty things, if it's safe to do so, try to stop it.
