FANCY living in a house like this?
This £1.8m mansion could be yours for just £5 after the owners decided to raffle off the property.
The five-bedroomed Grade II listed stately home sits two miles outside of Tarvin near Chester and has been used as a filming location for TV's The Forsyte Saga.
Owners Helena and John Rowton first put Burton Hall on the market in 2014 after a huge restoration project which started in January 2007.
But after the house failed to sell, the family decided to try something different.
Entrants must pay £5 to enter the 'Spot the ball' competition to win the house.
The competition will run until April 2, 2019 or when the target value of £2.5m has been reached.
As well as the house, the prize also includes:
- £50,000 cash
- Bespoke furniture and fittings
- Two fireplaces for open fires
- Oak library and study area
- Three living rooms
- Walk in pantry, laundry and utility room
- Two formal dining rooms
- Service from kitchen by a pulley system Dumb Waiter
- A music room with full size Schiedmayer Grand Piano
- Elizabethan gardens with formal parterre
- Rose garden with bespoke gazebo and obelisks
- Stables with space for two stalls and tack room
- Tractor-mower and log store
- Outdoor kennels
- Large pond teeming with wildlife - small boat for fishing
If the target is not met, the prize will be substituted with a cash prize.
It's not the first time a home owner has raffled off their property.
Last year a woman from Warrington won a house worth £800,000 after spending £2 on a raffle ticket.
