HAVE you got what it takes to be a model?

If you have, then your face could be your future as the Modelsearch team hits town again.

Following the growing success of the event since 2004 The Chantry Centre Andover Modelsearch, in association with The Andover Advertiser and Sandra Reynolds Model Agency is again offering the chance for boys, girls, men and women to experience the catwalk and perhaps this could be the first step to becoming the next modelling phenomenon.

Potential models are invited to come down to the shopping centre on Saturday 30 August and Saturday 13 September between 11am and 3pm, when a digital photograph will be taken of them.

On each day the judges will shortlist 40 finalists whose photographs will be published in the The Andover Advertiser after the scouting days are completed. Each entrant will be asked for a donation of £1, with all proceeds going to Naomi House Children's Hospice, The Chantry Centre's Charity of the Year.

All 80 finalists will then be invited to attend castings at the Chantry Centre on Sunday 28 September when the fashion show finalists will be chosen.

The finalists will then need to attend rehearsals on the evenings of Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 and Friday 10 October with the Fashion Shows on Saturday 11 October at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

The judges will be looking for that mysterious and elusive X factor, that certain combination of poise, presence, movement, bone structure and overall appearance.

And it will give a real taste of the world of modelling, with test shots, selection for a casting' and rehearsals before the chosen few create a fully choreographed fashion show.

And the watching crowd will include experts scouting for future looks.

To enter, fill in the form in the Andover Advertiser on 29 August, and another form will be published on Friday 12 September.

All contestants under 16 must obtain parental consent before attending the scouting days.

As a prestigious prize, Sandra Reynolds Model Agency will scout one male and one female from all the finalists for a potential interview.

All category winners will attend a fashion photoshoot at The Chantry Centre.
