ART lovers are again invited to visit Hampshire artists in their studios.

Hampshire Artists Open Studios are open until Sunday, with visitors able to see studios and artwork from all corners of the county.

On display are paintings and jewellery, ceramics and sculpture, prints, photographs, textiles, glassware and more.

Visitors to some studios are also able to talk to artists about how their work is made - and perhaps see some demonstrations.

Artists are naturally de-lighted if visitors ask to buy a piece of their work, but this is by no means the only reason for visiting.

Paul Glinkowski, from Arts Council England, said: "Open studios are a celebration of grass roots practice and local creativity.

"Talking to and watching artists at work opens up new understandings."

All the individual events produce brochures containing lists of artists and places to visit, with opening times and examples of artists' work.
