Rooksdown school gets 'good' rating

A SCHOOL which provides for pupils with physical difficulties and medical needs has been graded as “good” by education watchdogs.

Ofsted inspectors visited Saxon Wood School, in Barron Place, Rooksdown, Basingstoke, on November 14.

A report published this month said: “Pupils thoroughly enjoy their learning. Their behaviour is typically excellent as a result of highly effective support from teachers and other adults, including specialist therapists.”

Teaching, leadership and achievement were all graded as “good”, while pupil behaviour was graded as “outstanding”.
