E-fit of the man police want to speak to
THIS is an e-fit of a man police want to speak to in connection with a robbery on a Basingstoke footbridge.
A 17-year-old had leads and a power cable for an X Box 360 robbed from him as he walked across the bridge over the A339 from Oakridge to Popley, on December 10, between 5.30pm and 6pm.
The teenage victim saw two youths running off afterwards. An 18-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested in connection with the incident, and has been released on bail.
Basingstoke Detective Constable Paul Smith, who is leading the investigation, said: “Robbery is a particularly cowardly and nasty crime which often leaves the victim with lasting effects. If anyone knows anything which may assist the police to catch these offenders, please call me.”
Anyone with information should call DC Smith at Basingstoke police station on 101.
